The New JWdom - Vew of Older Publications? (and other related questions)
by Magnum ini feel that there aren’t many of that type anymore, but there have to be some – mostly old-timers.

I doubt the 28 year old exists outside of his imagination to be honest so I wouldn't worry. No sane woman in her twenties would go near an underage boy, there's nothing less attractive. She's either imaginary or deranged. -

The Book of Revelation
by Jehovah lol inare there any good scholarly texts on revelation that aren't written from the perspective of a believer?
whenever i try to find anything i can barely get more than a few sentences in before the supposed exegesis starts talking about how it applies to us living today and how we all need to get right with jesus.
i want to find a text that isn't coloured by the preconceptions that come with believing it's all real..

I've been on mushroom trips, heavy ones, you don't hallucinate in that kind of way, it's not like dreaming. I will look into Days of Vengeace, thank you. -

I doubt it was. There's an entire genre of such writings from that time period. -

Do JW's Still Shout "Aye!" at Assemblies?
by snugglebunny ingot my curious head on again.... i recall shouting "aye!
" in 1958 and again in 1963 and 1969. in the '63 resolution the wt put the un on notice in an assembly resolution worded something like "the nations further refused the surrender of their sovereignty to god's messianic kingdom by setting up ... the united nations, ... this international organization stands for world sovereignty by political men.
for years men without faith in god's kingdom have endeavored to get all people to worship this international image of human political sovereignty as the best hope for earthly peace and security, in fact, the last hope for humanity.

If you can remember the 60s then you weren't there. -

The Seven Trumpets
by Jehovah lol inis it still watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s?
would many jws these days even be aware of this?
i find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage.

Arguing with a JW about that kind of stuff is like talking to a parrot.

Is it still Watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of Revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s? Would many JWs these days even be aware of this? I find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage. The idea that Christians waited almost two millennia to find out that the great trumpet blasts of Revelation were a set of largely unnoticed gatherings borders on crazy. These conventions supposedly put the world on notice, but the world yawned. Is this still what JWs believe, or has this particular doctrine been quietly retired?

A little critique/commentary on the first of the new Public Watchtowers (No.1 2018) - Corrections and additions welcomed
by doubtfull1799 in“all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial.”—2 timothy 3:16.”.
what/which scripture was paul referring to?
how is it possible to know with any certainty without being speculative or dogmatic?

What has any of that got to do with the OP?
